When the fishing rod didn't work, what exactly did the devs do to make it work again? I am a Hive player and the owners are fiercely against having the rod in offensive PvP combat. Therefore they haven't made an effort to patch it. Thanks.

I think he is asking how the fishing rod works on MCSG and how our developers made it that way since it doesn't work on the Hive.

The fishing rod knockback is well known feature of bukkit. Some Hive must've patched it up.

Never knew about this. I've never liked Hive PvP anyways.

Thank you for replies. I play MCSG but I don't play it as often as Hive.

I think it's cause mcsg is using an older version of no cheat

I don't think MCGamer uses NoCheat, correct me if I'm wrong, although they have Xime that acts as an improved version of NoCheat, it automatically bans Regen Hackers, unlike NoCheat that doesn't.

In the NoCheatPlus config there is toolchangepenalty. If thats set to 500 I couldn't do any finishing rod combos (Like Hive)
If toolchangepenalty is set to 0 you can do fishing rod combos (Like MCSG)
I think thats what you were asking... :3 sorry if I'm wrong lol
