What are your general movement keys?

WASD for movement, F for sprint, zoom optifine key is CTRL, and i switch slots on hotbar using the number things on the side of my razer naga 2012 (ya ik its old but still really good)

E = Up & Down
Z = Left & Right

But no since generally everyone uses WASD, I guess I'll explain my 'keyboard setup'. WASD to move, obviously, E for inventory, Shift to sneak, Tab is my sprint (best key for sprint imo), P to list players, C for optifine, Q to drop items, F5 I have set to a mouse button (Logitech G400s), and I hotkey (1-9), for items in my hotbar.

It actually isnt . I use arrow keys.

Use block:g
Hit: numpad 0
Slot 1: shift
Slot 2: right control
Slot 3: right slash

I guess it differs upon if you have played other games. The people (I'm assuming) who use wasd have been playing Minecraft for a long time and don't usually play other games. The people who use the arrow keys usually play other games. I know this is different for everyone it's just an observation I have made over the years. I do also know that it can be affected by how large or small your hands are. I may be completely wrong on all of this but it's just my thoughts! <3

I use default keys.

For the people wondering how in the world people are able to use arrow keys:

Essentially you need to be experienced with your keyboard to know where everything is so that when you use your entire hand, not just fingers, you actually hit the right key.

WASD Q=F5 R=Sprint F= Drop Item C= Zoom I have tiny hands and I can reach everything quickly like that^ ◦°˚\☻/˚°◦

I just use W,A,S,D keys but I am very surprised that players can actually use something else. It's so difficult xD

I... uh, don't know about you guys. But, I use my number pad and I have every bind in minecraft on there. I'm just joking around, I use the standard/default WASD. I do have my control to zoom, and my crouch to Z.

hotkeys on my kb

f is crouch

then i have a button on my mouse for 2 since it's kinda hard to reach, and a button on my mouse for f5
