To the best of my knowledge I'm pretty sure like 2 weeks before release they decided to scrap sg 3 and start over again. This caused them to go ham to finish the map in time.

No, it wasn't scrapped. The river is exactly the same (block by block), and the mountain was thickened with grass. Additionally they removed the trees and built a jungle over it, but I assure you the map wasn't restarted.
