When I was 2 Hurricane Juan ripped through Atlantic Canada knocking over trees and destroying homes and I would want to thank the people who cared and donated for the less fortunate :)

First thing SORRY FOR DOUBLE POSTING! I don't know how to edit with a reply on my phone .-. I just want to say that the UK is probably the most safest countries in the world. Few volcanos up in Scotland, but we dont care much about it as we built a castle on it .-. Yolo scots ftw! We have weak earthquakes if any, weak winds, I would say the cold kills most people due to nature :( still very said to think about
Good thing we Scots built our castles on extinct volcanoes. ;)

I don't mean to sound cold hearted but people get over it, that's the way humans are. We get over sad and happy things that happened in the past and life continues. Those tragedies that you see on the news are very sad, but maybe we should look at the good side of it, we are lucky to be here and we enjoy life as it is.

So true, but some people find it hard to forget about loved ones that may have been killed :/

I never imagined that a toreador or any natural disaster would happen even close to me. Prayers go to the families and everyone near there.

EDIT: Did this happen on Sunday? I was in a servers tornado warning then. Was it the same storm?

Lol but do you really think an earthquake will take down a house?
Yeah, I do think a quake will bring down a house. I live in Christchurch NZ, and we had a 7.1 in September 2010 which killed nobody because it hit at 4:35am, but we had a 6.3 in February 2011 which killed 180+ people. Some people still have no working plumbing and our CBD is 90% empty plots where buildings use to be. This can be taken very offensively, so think about what you say.

Isn't this thread mainly about that .-. Is that typhoon still active? I know that on mainland there were problems :/

Guys, live in Tassie. The only natural disasters are the kids that bush fires, other than that it's only raining and 10° C everyday (~65-70°F).

Ok sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone, but I hope those affected people get well soon
