This is Getting Beyond Ridiculous

I'm sorry, but no matter what anyone says these servers will never be anything like they used to be.

I used to come here for a good time and would joke around with friends while we try and win the game.

These days, the servers are nothing but rage inducing for me. I don't care what you have to say G33k, NoCheatPlus ruins the game entirely not just the hackers. Example being today I was trying to run from someone but NOPE apparently I'm flying and can't move...that's so unfair.

One more thing about NCP-It is near impossible to play with a mac mouse. The clicker is on the bottom of the mouse not the top, which means I can click pretty fast, and NCP thinks it's forcefield, don't tell me to go buy a new mouse because not everyone can afford to get something that we already have in the first place.

The lag is also intolerable, it is ridiculous how blind some are about updating, bukkit needs to pull themselves together before we update and if we don't wait then we get this insane amount of lag.

Watching an enemy hit the air and this resulting in your death is getting infuriating for me. When I'm in full iron I need to be extremely cautious about attacking a guy in leather and stone sword. It's absolutely terrible.

The NoCheatPlus ordeal is the worst for me. I grasp G33k's points about why we have it but isn't that what the Report Abuse section is for? If you see a hacker, why not record him and report him, go poke a moderator on TeamSpeak? In my opinion, there really isn't a need for NCP.

Sorry if this seemed like a rant to you, I had to share my opinions.

I agree. I lose every single game all because of lag. Please fix. I played 2 game just know and lost because of lag. WHY WHY! I keep losing 65 points every time I die. It's annoying. I don't know if it is NCP or lag itself. Please fix.
I keep raging everytime.

We are aware of the lag and No Cheat+ issue and we are trying to fix it as soon as possible.

There would be TOO MANY hackers, everywhere. NCP a least stops flying, force field, and other hacks. If NCP was gone, it would be impossible to play at all. Sure you could poke a mod on TS, but even that wouldn't be enough. So say, the kid get banned for hacking, another kid takes his place next round, who also hacks. NCP needs to be tweaked, not removed.

I won't continue to argue this topic, especially since you seem to see my points already but don't understand fully what I was trying to say...

Long story short, removing NCP would be worse than you think it to be. More hackers would be coming in than people had time to report them, and it would never stop...it's not worth removing.


As slasher said, they are aware of the issues and working on it. The lag as well is being worked on (the last few games I played in fact had next to none...it made me happy. I wonder if they pushed out a fix...)

We all hate NCP stopping us from hitting people, but all we can do is be patient. Sometimes, things don't go as planned...

Without NoCheatPlus, the game would be ruined as a whole, and MCSG would be dead because of situations like this:

This may just be because NCP doesn't account for all factors, but the general population uses a mouse that isn't setup to do more than 15 clicks within a second.

We may have an abuse section for it, but as previously linked, we can't stop hacks without it, and it will simply result in the destruction of MCSG in a whole because no one will want to play.

What about just disabling the forcefield detection? Were forcefields ever so common that that feature was necessary? I can deal with getting stuck on a block; you can generally unhook yourself easily. I can deal with moving slowly because the server thinks I'm still eating; just try to eat again to fix it. Not being able to hit someone means you wasted 30 minutes of careful play because you dared to get the drop on someone in an enclosed space.

I will say now that while it's not much better to have people being cheated out of wins because of nocheat, it's not much worse either. Honestly, while I get this bug more often than I saw a hacker, it's easier to deal with. If one or obvious hits do no damage, I'll just run for about 5-10 seconds and come back to fight. At most it will cost me about a heart or two of damage, since the other person also has the bug and often gets it at the same time as me.

Only downside is when you're in a situation where you can't run. But I guess that's where blocking comes in handy.

Yeah, it happened to me once when I was in a corner...I could have taken him out easily, but alas, I had nowhere to run and there was nothing I could do. Good tip on the blocking though, normally I would just sit there and take a hit or two.
