I tested that earlier today and it's possible: however the only way in that I can see is with an ender pearl

What I did was I pearled onto the tail of the dragon, then I dropped into it's mouth from on top of the head. Theres one block that you have to land on, and if you miss I think you fall on ice and die xD. Pretty much everything requires an ender pearl
