Welcome, tributes!
As you will surely see, our website has been given a fresh coat of paint, and with that, brand new leaderboards. This highly anticipated update brings a leaderboard and statistic system with far more functionality and detail than the former system.
The New Leaderboards
You can head over to the new leaderboards now, with the link at the top of your page.
The first game to be tracked on the new leaderboards is MCSG. You will be able to see the new (and old) leaderboard statistics that have been tracked, ranging from who is #1 overall to details about how a specific round played out.
Overall and Legacy
The overall and legacy leaderboards represent all game statistics, without narrowing them to a specific range of time. These are the standard leaderboards that you would be familiar with; can you compete with the best and make your way to the top?
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly
The daily leaderboards run from midnight UTC at the beginning of the day to 11:59:59 PM at the end of the day. The daily leaderboards will update roughly every 4 minutes.
The weekly leaderboards run from midnight UTC on Monday, through 11:59:59 PM on the following Sunday. The weekly leaderboards will update roughly every 8 minutes.
Just as the name implies, these leaderboards will start afresh every month. These leaderboards run from midnight UTC on the first day of the month, through 11:59:59 PM on the last day of that month. The monthly leaderboards will update roughly every 12 minutes.
Seasonal
The seasonal leaderboards represent a three-month span, making four seasons per year. The seasonal leaderboards will update roughly every 16 minutes. The seasons are roughly aligned with the calendar seasons of the northern hemisphere (southern hemispherians, just reverse the seasons!), with each season being represented as described in the following image:
In the following weeks, we plan to be integrating other games into the system, each with their own custom leaderboards tailored to the aspects of that gametype. More on that when the time comes!
Round Data
With the new statistics systems, you have the ability to see plenty of data related to the game you just played. Some of this data includes your lifespan in the game, how many players you killed, the amount of chests you found, the person who killed you (if any), and the weapon you were killed with (again, if any).
Statistic Reset Tokens
With the leaderboards update, the stat reset system has been revisited, and we have provided a more accessible interface for redeeming them. As you have always been able to, stat reset tokens can be redeemed to reset your stats in the overall leaderboard. With the new leaderboards, you can also derank your games played in the current day, week, month, or season if you wish to start fresh for just that current leaderboard timeframe— doing this won’t reset your overall statistics. You can also redeem stat reset tokens to completely wipe all of your stats, across the overall and each interval-based leaderboard. Keep in mind that all of these actions are irreversible.
The State of the Rainbow (April's Fools)
It had recently come to our attention that many players had caught their eye on the developers' fancy rainbow-styled names.
