The best tips for water PVP

I have many ways for water pvp.
I would like to see your tips on how to kill players in the water.

Get under them. Hit boxes are a lot better being under them than below. Swing fast, don't block hit. If ur low use a fishing rod to pub enemies away. If u have a bow use it!easier way to kill in the water.

tip 1: turn on hitboxes (f3+b)
tip 2: get lower ground
tip 3: use your rod right before you/they hit them/you
tip 4: boost friends with rod
tip 5: use infinite rod
tip 6: bow them, pretend you are out of arrows, exchange hits, bow them down

If you have a boat then strafe them in the water. Don't spent too much time underwater.

lel I typed that pretty fast. Get under the person you are fighting. The way the hit boxes work, one can hit 3 boxes above but only 1 below. Therefore, getting under your opponent would help you win a fight.
Edit: I realize I said under them than below which makes no sense. I meant under them not above.
