Survival Games Suggestion: SG Leagues and Rankings

I love this idea, i'd love to be able to play against people of similar ability to me. However i'm thinking it would take a while for it to be implemented if accepted.

I like the idea. There's only one thing I don't like, that being the simple fact that you won't be moving up/down in ranks enough. Once you get 100+ wins, it's not that easy to increase your ratio and would take forever.

Seems cool, If this is going to be an new gametype I'm not sure that people are willing to play this, because it's much harder to win. with a few exceptions ofc.

I like this idea a lot, but why not use a rating system similar to the Elo system? It's a system that's already been tried and tested in sports and other video games, and there are adaptations for games with more than two players.

For example, take a look at this system being developed by Microsoft. I think a similar system would work well for MCGamer. You could then divide the ratings into brackets/leagues that you mentioned in the OP. It would make for a more sophisticated ranking system than win ratio and would be a better representation of a player's skill. Hey, maybe you could develop your own ranking system based on current game statistics.

That would work really well, as long as we didn't have too many elo groups.

on the legacy i had: 1/4 and now i have better than 1/3.

That's the point I think. Right now it is incredibly easy to get wins, if we slow down the rate of reaction or in this case winning, new people could essentially get to a higher rank on the leaderboards.

1. Its not easy to win.. The problem is the teams..
2. The ratio doesn't mean that someone is good. I have a decent ratio, but I'm terrible. I suck at pvp and I die so much..

Yet you still got 2000 wins... Essentially you just said that I'm probably better than you yet I had less than 10 games won

I just play a lot. I have played over 8000 games.
