I'd get a SSD for your OS, it'll speed up the system a bit and just use the 1TB HDD for storage space.
You would only need the 120GB SSD, its enough for the OS and games, most of the storage would be on the HDD.

Today, I jumped the gun because there was a sale on the i7-3770k for $220 USD. It may get lower, but I can't see it getting much lower than that after Haswell comes out. <3 Microcenter

GPU: 2 x NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti (no SLI - can't seem to get that working...) ($idk)
CPU: i7-3770k @ 3.5GHz ($220) w/ stock heatsink. Need to get the Intel brackets for the Corsair H100.
PSU: Corsair GS600 ($100ish?)
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1333 ($80)
Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 ($140)
HDD: WD Black 1TB 64MB Cache ($100)

I have a triple monitor setup, and plan on getting something like this to replace the 2 x 550 Ti cards.
I'll be replacing the RAM with Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB or 2 x 8GB) once I have more money.
I'll be adding in either an SSD or a second WD Black 1TB drive in either RAID1 or RAID0 (hardware).
Once necessary, I'll be upgrading my power supply to 850W or higher. Right now, everything's running fine.

Any suggestions on upgrades/changes beyond what's already stated?
Get a 7970ghz edition in crossfire and it will be amazing
