Well, this can go either way. My personal opinion is that it is a combination of both. I personally can't win a game even if I were to have a set of full diamond armor but that's because my skill level is low. (Don't judge me please I'm trying to get better 
) Now, you people can win games with no chests, no armor or very little of anything. That is purely skill. The luck can come in a few forms. For the no chest challenge, your chest could have nearly full iron and a stone sword. That's luck. For the no armor, it requires a lot of skill but you could also be in a game with people that are not the greatest.
