Server lag or it's just me?

So today I joined a couple mcsg servers, and they were all lagging, what I mean is that even though I had 4-5 bars when I press tab, I still lag for no reason (players teleport everywhere, getting lag spikes etc..) , my computer is perfectly fine, and it didn't happen before, I asked my friends if they had it too, and they said yes.
Is at a problem with Mojang or is it just me being crazy? D:

If you aren't the only one having the issue, it would probably be a problem on Mojangs behalf. Besides, Mojang servers have been poopy lately

The bars next to your name are always truthful in my opinion. I believe somethimes there is lag but its not terrible. Also I don't know where you live but have you looked at the location of the servers and slected the one taht you have the greatest connection to? Because I mean if your in the US Playing on EU Thats not the Best.

Yes. Lag issues are really bad for me. I used to trust the sign bars, now I don't even know.
