The boat is the most useless item on the list. Fishing rod follows after boat. Flint and steel has limited multi-purpose use.
In the end, you want to make the opponent have zero hearts. Bows are the only reliable source.

Mine would be a Fishing Rod because quite frankly I am one of those noobs who can't play without a rod and needs to spam it in deathmatch.

Bow, definetely! If you are decent with the bow, you can use it as a fishing rod that does actual damage, not in the close combat combo's but just before fights and while backing off, definetely most useful!

It would have to be the bow. Most necessary weapon for taking out teams. You can use it in any situation, water, close quarters, open field, you name it. Also those little bow stuns are nice as well.

My order of preference goes as follows:
1) FnS, because it's so effective, fun, and satisfying. There's nothing like watching enemies cower as you slay them >
2) Bow, it's very effective & very useful.
3) Rod, because it starts good combos and offers protection.
4) Boat, because I've only gotten one boat kill ever :|
