-Have you played it? Thoughts? I have. I feel that the game has a LOT of potential. However, the game is in an early alpha stage at the moment so there are a lot of bugs and the gameplay is really simple

When was the last time you played it? Although I agree it still has a long way to go it is better than EARLY alpha.
I have pretty much been playing it non-stop the past 2 days

About a month and a half ago.
What I don't get is, why would you want to play RUST instead of DayZ?

Im not sure. Ive played dayz. I like it. There's just something I like more about rust. Maybe thats its simpler? Maybe that its new and I am one of the pioneers of the game? Maybe because it is more focuses on gathering/building?

Well everything you can do in rust you can do in DayZ.
You can build bases in DayZ, craft items, customize your vehicles, go to the market and trade with fellow surviviors...

idk why rust caught on for me and dayz didnt then
ide have to replay dayz and i may be able to figure it out?

edit: didnt notice video, checking out now
edit: maybe I like that its more primitive. the most advanced thing is c4, no cars and rocket launchers and things
edit: and when you die you can respawn at a sleeping bag unlike what i remember when day z. when u die, u die.
edit: i like that ability to tag friendly players though

lol this is my rust thread! stop trying to preach day z lol
no but i was excited for standalone for some time. I look forward to seeing a trialer/gameplay of it.
