Guys, if you want to do the same process on a MAC computer
1) open finder and your "username"'or computer nickname files (Home)
2) go into application support
3) go into 'minecraft" folder
4) open 'bin'
5) copy and paste your 'minecraft.jar' file somewhere where you can access it.

Now you can update the original minecraft.jar and still have the 1,2.5 version to go back on to get onto servers

u missed step between 1/2 after going to your home you need to go to library then application support then minecraft

That Minecraft will be pushing out a new update to everybody's client "soon". The release date is not yet out, but we still want to take the time to tell/ remind you all to not update your client when it is pushed out. Let me repeat, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR CLIENT WHEN MINECRAFT 1.3 IS RELEASED!!! The reason why we are asking people not to update if they wish to keep playing on the servers if because 1.3 is going to be big, and it changes how the game interacts with servers and clients, therefor breaking our plug-in rendering it useless in 1.3 land. Don't despair just yet though, we have a new developer hard at work learning and updating our code to make it work and hopefully have a 1.3 compatible version soon after the release and we will make an announcement when it will be safe to update your client.

Back up your minecraft.jar file, so if you do update to 1.3 to check it out, you can still go back to a version of Minecraft to play on the servers. Here is how you do that:
1) You do not talk about MCSG.
2)YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT MCSG!
3) Open my computer
4) Open C drive
5) Click User folder
6) Click your user name
7) Click AppData
8) Click Roaming
9) Click .minecraft
10) Click backup, and it should be in there
11) If it is your first time at MCSG, you have to fight.

Maybe theior gonan make it a hardcore server if you die you get banned for a sertain ammount of time i think it would be a good idea because then it would allow new players to join in the servers You should deffinatly do that

It already is 'hardcore' in the sense that you don't respawn when you die. It just gives you the ability to watch the match instead of looking at a screen saying 'You are dead. Come back in 'x' minutes'
