Redstone breaks between map resets

I've noticed this on multiple occasions. Sometimes certain redstone devices aren't reset properly when the map ends. This includes pistons being stuck in the wrong position, redstone torches being stuck on/off, pressure plates not activating redstone when stood on, etc.

I'm guessing the map reset thing logs all block changes during the game and undoes them afterwards (based on the fact that vines that have grown stay)? If that's the case, I can see how it could mess with the redstone, and have an idea of how it could be combated.
