Here is a contraption that senses whatever item you place in it, and based on the value of the item it will give a random drop. (I made this without hoppers to challenge myself.)

Here is a unique elevator design I thought up:

Here is a fully functional redstone-operated automatic "Capture the Flag" game that sense when the flag is present in someone's inventory. I made it with the help of @Theoretical.
