Please don't allow optifine

-_- this is a pointless thread no offense some people like me need it for shader's if anything it make it harder to play with shader's.And i don't think you can see through lava with optifne and the zoom feature isnt a game changing advantage unlike BSM.Some people need Optifne to play and not everyone has the money to build or buy a god pc so yea deal with.

Ill just say one quick thing if u have chests or passages below lava u can pretty much look through them using optifine using the zoom feature

I don't think optifine is illegal it's just unfair for people who have well running computers who use it but people with lag that makes lag out every 30 mins or so it's fine for them to have it my friend has so much lag that he can't play hg/sg or he will lag out

Yes, it may provide a slight advantage but there is no game breaking addition to optifine that is in any way unfair. BSM gives you a literal PvP advantage and so does nodus, that is why the two are banned. The only thing that a tiny render distance may do is shorten games by making it easier to find someone. The zoom feature gives a very limited benefit, it does not help you find anyone (since after a number of tiles people straight in front of you stop showing up, and you can only zoom straight in front of you. These people come back into your few when you are not looking at them.) , and the only real benefit is determining a small detail of armor, something that will become evident at closer ranges, plus you can already gauge a person's armor without the zoom.

You do realise there is a maximum render distance on the server and even if you can see terrain you can't see entities (i.e. players) on the extreme render distance

Pressing F5 and rotating your view so you can see under the lava works in this way, Optifine does not. At all.

As has been stated above, its never going to be disallowed, as that would be ridiculous. So many players, such as myself, require it to even play Minecraft on decent FPS (>20) and removing it would be pointless, as everyone would keep it on. Myself included.

There are very, very few advantages to it in terms of gameplay.

You mention it's fine if people with bad computers install it, but not good ones... How is there a difference?

This is not happening. First off, weather doesn't occur on MCSG. Secondly, this Mod allows some people to play with poor computers. Thread Locked.
