Honestly, why did they even need to make a hub in the first place? Sure, it promotes other gametypes and gives them some attention, but it just ruins the experience of all MCSG players (which is about 90% of the MCGamer players). This is the worst attempt to give those servers some attention, because they're popular enough and don't need attention. They will eventually gain some popularity. Having a hub makes it nearly impossible for non-donors to join games, and it's like we are eventually going to be forced to use the hub, which is crazy.
They should have told us in advance that they were going to implement a hub. It was such a drastic change, and it takes a while to get used to. The old system was perfectly fine. Non-donors have a chance to join servers, everybody was happy. Now, joining a server is like a guessing game. You'll never know what game state it's in, making it IMPOSSIBLE to join without using the hub. And about the server list on the website; browsers lag the game for many players, and it will make the in-Minecraft server list obsolete (which everybody uses).
They should have known that there would be so many people against it before they implemented it. You know, not having a hub made MCSG popular because you could join a game without donating. It was one of the only SG servers without a hub, and people really liked it that way and had no problem whatsoever joining the game. This hub...it's just a silly attempt to make the other gametypes more popular. Would you have ever though that maybe, just maybe, some people don't want to play those other gametypes? Not everyone likes ZedChase, or TF2.
When someone join an MCSG server, they expect to play MCSG, not any other gametypes. There are so many other ways of giving these other gametypes popularity, such as:
And no TL;DR, read it!

- Advertise them on the MCSG servers.
- Advertise them on the MCSG website.
- Add new features.
- Make sections for MCTF2 and ZedChase on the website.
- Last but not least, they will eventually gain popularity naturally, no hub needed.
And no TL;DR, read it!
