Well, after a long day of running for cross country practice, I warm up on a pvp server. After I am all warmed up and hyped for playing, I log onto MCSG. (I must be pretty warmed up cause I gotta keep the 1/3 ratio :3 http://www.mcgamer.net/player/Kaelinator/)
*logging in* :D

Annnnd....

"You are banned from the MCGamer Network. Your ban is Permanent. Reason: Removing Evidence"

Well, well, well... At first I was extremely confused because if you know me, you know that I am very strict when it comes to rules. So I couldn't figure out what "removing evidence" meant... And a few seconds later, I realized it.

So I have always reported the hackers and I always try to help out this server as best as I could. I realized that the videos that the hackers were in, I deleted off of my channel.

Now you might be wondering, why would you delete the video off you channel? Well, I currently have 230+ subs, and I am trying to make my channel more professional. I had everything right, 1080p, 60fps, daily videos, good channel art, you name it. www.youtube.com/kaelinatorpvp Well, the last thing to do is to delete the random videos of the hackers on my channel. Yes, I read the agreement and everything, it was like 4:00am when I ended up deleting them so I really didn't know what I was doing.

OK, now for my 2cents... Why, if my only intention is to make this server better, am I back stabbed with a PERMANENT BAN? PERMANENT! Like..... what? This is my favorite server on minecraft, and probably without this server I would stop playing minecraft totally.

Another thing I don't get is that a hacker use to be banned for only a WEEK, but the person who reported them, can get banned permanently just for deleting a video.

And why do I get punished for changing something that is completely 3rd party from the original network?

Why is the reporter liable for keeping the evidence? If you REALLY needed the evidence then the staff would have to download and keep the evidence!

In all honesty, I don't feel like this is fair at all. Again, my only intentions were to make this server better. I put a load of work into this server, my own time, to keep it up. I have even made maps http://www.mcgamer.net/threads/ant-mound-sg-1-7-1-8.157649/for the MCGamer network.

So if my ban stands, have fun without me guys. I had a lot of fun playing for the time I did, don't really know what I'll do for my Youtube channel either.

Re-Upload these videos on a seperate channel, then post those videos in your ban dispute :)

  • If you submit a report abuse thread and the evidence you used to report the person is later found to be deleted or otherwise missing, you will be permanently banned from the network.
It's in our rules, and by logging into our servers you agree to our rules.

Yes, I said that I agreed, I'm just saying its a rule that is not fair to the player, I think it should be up to the staff to keep the evidence. All my intentions were to make the server better, and if the staff is going to be like that then its not really worth reporting at all, when the admins are trying to raise the amount of reports.... if that made sense..

Alright, I'm going to address a few of your complaints here:
1. Hacker evidence is supposed to be unlisted anyway, so i don't get why it would make your channel look unprofessional. I personally have tons of hacker videos on my channel, and none of my 550+ subs even know it's there.
2. The reason you are punished for removing evidence is because if there is no evidence, the hacker can simply dispute their ban, and we won't be able to do anything about it.
3. It's a good thought, having mods reupload all the evidence, but unfortunately, it's not possible for everyone to do. Some people (like me) have slow internet, and simply would not be able to reupload that many videos every day. I suppose we could just download it, and keep it on our computers, but we deal with hundreds of hackers every day, and not everyone has enough space on their computers to save that many videos.

I hope that helped to clear up the confusion. If you still feel that your ban was unfair, you may dispute it. However, since you signed the agreement, the chance of you getting pardoned are very slim. Have a nice day!

I'm sorry but, how can I "Have a nice day!" when I just got banned from my favorite server on my favorite game? :(

I'm sorry, I don't know, I hope you can figure it out though. By playing on our servers, you agree to obey our rules, and as unfair as it may seem, you will be punished if they are broken.
