So having skeletons with bows chase you around is realistic? I think not.

I think he may have meant more players for Survival Games. If you look at the servers and everything, most players come to hive for it's arcade games and there's only about a hundred SG servers. MCSG has 200 US servers, with at least a hundred commonly active, 150 EU servers, not very many but still some AS and AU servers, and also CA servers. So all in all, MCSG has a lot more people playing Survival Games. (Who comes to MCGamer only because they heard about how amazing ZedChase is?)

Actually, at peak times, not even 75 US MCSG servers are full, same goes to EU and AU. Whilst in the Hive, almost throughout the entire day, every SG server is full. The Hive gets around 10,000 people, or even more. And the majority of these people play Hive for SG, not the Mini-games.

HiveSG is guaranteed more popular than MCSG although i'd rather play MCSG. What attracts a lot of players in the Hive are the youtubers who play there, their fan ase starts playing on that server too, gaining it players and popularity.

I counted the amount of full servers on all the servers (us, eu, au, ca, as) during a less popular time (only 1500 people online), and it was still over 150 full servers. Hive only has 95 servers.

You have to admit, it was pretty hard getting into some US servers right before The Hive came out.
