No more Nodus! :D

This is another issue MCSG will run into and will have to face. I just looked up on YouTube (Greifing/hacking minecraft clients) There are so many! I could be here for weeks! Just because nodus shuts down, the hackers will not. As long as staff continues doing what they are doing, and players continue reporting, we should be even greater than the mind of the hacker!

You have a good point. I just thought it was kinda strange how the creator of Nodus said it was being shut down at 1.5, yet it still continued. But with any luck, after 1.6 the problem should be a lot better, seeing as Nodus is probably the most popular client. I just wonder what will crazy hacked client will come next, that everyone wants to use..

The developer of Nodus has discontinued to project, and by the next Minecraft update (1.6, next week or so) there will be a cut down on hackers. Unfortunately he stated that there may be continuation for donators of the client but that's a much smaller percentage. Rejoice!

If you've donated for a cape you'll still have it on your character for the current version of Nodus and you'll have it in future versions if I ever decide to continue the project. (Perhaps even access to something special we were planning for donators). Almost all of the requests I'm recieving now are spam so I've removed the form. I haven't had a chance to get through all of them so if you're still waiting on you cape/cape change it may be done soon."

Positive news! i am glad to hear that, but i agree with TheJustHellooo that there are enough other clients. i dont want to list them i know a lot of them because if i do the guys who are hacking will download them, >__> TheJust was so "intellegent" to list one for them... xD but i think most of the hackers arent active on the forums so i dont care. Btw. Weep Craft is much bigger and ways better then nodus, hats my opinion but i really hope the amount of hackers will go down then^^

He didn't say it was being shut down at 1.5, the Nodus website went down and people automatically assumed that it was gone, but now it's the actual developer stating it's going to be discontinued.

Once Nodus is gone, of course many people are going to use other clients, but the reason Nodus was so big was because everyone knew about it, it was developing fast and had more features (at least for free) then any other client. Now the hacking will be more deverse but less frequent, and I doubt any new client will make an uprising to stand out from others, just like it was before Nodus was made.

Makes sense. Well, I'm just glad to know there will be less hackers. 20% of the time I die in a game is because of a hacker xD (or I just suck)..

Considering Nodus was a pretty poor client compared to others (Especially in pvp), I'd rather have it still developed and running rather than they find a better hacked client. Just my 2 cents c:
