No hitting sound?

Hello, I have a problem for a little time.
When I hit people I don't hear the "TACK" sound. I hate this! Because I can Know how many times I hit the player by hearing that sound. Is there a fix? And do you guys have this too?

I have it sometimes. Most of the time by just restarting Minecraft helps. But it isn't permamently so it will go away eventually.

I have it always, only on this servers, when someone hits me I hear it, but when I hit someone not.

No it's just MCSG. On other servers I hear the hurt sound

I hear it sometimes, but not at other times. In the same way, sometimes, the server will take a long time to restart, and give the "Server restarting. Brb" message, and sometimes it will work like normal. (I'm using 1.4.4 still if anyone cares to know. Too lazy to reinstall optifine and my macro mod if that's needed. z.z)

I believe servers 1-19 in the US are on the newest server update, and 20-28 are not. Not sure about EU/AU, as I do not play there.
