There have been some great changes to mcsg, new maps, new lobby's etc...

But the one thing that i have not liked so much is the new voting System. The other day i was in the lobby, (30 votes for Solar Frost-98%, and 1 vote for Destiny's Shiver - 2%) and Desteny's Shiver got voted. This has happened many times, most of the time it is the lower percent that wins and not the higher. I like the old system better more, and a lot of other people to!

Do u AGREE or DISAGREE

First... now I may read
Ok for starters, destiny's is a better map than solar. Secondly, there is a poll going on. Due to the overwhelming hatred of the new system it will be removed soon. Kthxbai.

I disagree with the new voting system. I think that it's nice for some people, but it makes Clan Battles a lot harder. Everyone will vote for a map they want to play, and a map with a 3% chance to get voted will be played.

OK, I'm sick and tired of all these threads. You should realize that this is going to stay, Mostly for the positive effects it brings to this community.

"While many just want to play the same maps, there was an aspect almost nobody picked on, the good parts of an underplayed map. Despite how many people want to play a certain map, they need to remember these other maps.

Another thing I'd like to bring up, it makes the games a bit more difficult (the way the game is meant to be). Most people, probably don't have a route on every single map, thus naming Tier 2's difficult to find. This will make it seem as one of the best ways to get decent armour, weaponry, and hence forth, would be to kill a tribute, making the game more action packed, and DM less bias (talking about hackers, teams, and tryhards in DM).

This idea was originally created by BitoBain, which caught a lot of people's attention (if I can recall, nobody actually disliked it). Now, if this idea wasn't created, imagine the possible scenarios if we were stuck with the classic system. Everything could've been fine for the majority, however, there is a small group of people who absolutely adore underplayed maps(just like me and Fortune Island shortly after realese). This new system saved many from a bad time with maps on this server. Be thankful we have this, for some of our favorite players could slowly lose interest, and eventually leave.

In conclusion, the system may be hated, but I believe that this system does have its good uses, that I believe the community will see soon. If they don't, I feel like it'll be adaptable after a bit of time, considering the new process is fairly new."

That was a quote I said on one of the threads regarding the similar situation. The post shows what makes this new voting system a charm. When we can figure out a bit of patience, reputation, and adaptability, we'll be thankful for this.

Well, it may be annoying to have a map with an incredibly low percentage get chosen over an overplayed map, but it's all a part of the game. That's all I want to say.

I disagree with the new voting system. I think that it's nice for some people, but it makes Clan Battles a lot harder. Everyone will vote for a map they want to play, and a map with a 3% chance to get voted will be played.
Now, I'm not one who's been in many clan battles/scrims, but I believe that it actually supply's a "wow" factor into your game, a thing I believe all Clan Battles should be like.

If I hear or see one more complaint about the MCSG voting system, I will lose my boot where the sun don't shine!

There's a thread already made about this people. Stop COPYING! UGGH! *flips a table*

These are a few points I made on the new system a while ago
on why it's a good idea:
Here is my best go at an analogy. Ten kids are playing at the park. six kids want to play soccer, four wish to play kickball. Of course they will end up playing more soccer, since most of the kids want that, but shouldn't the other four get a chance to play kickball too? That way, everyone gets to play their favorite game, but the favorite game of the minority isn't played quite so much as the favorite of the majority.

on why maps with a few votes getting picked isn't really an issue:
any percent lower than 1/4 is just so unlikely to be picked, it seems like a very minor issue. If you think about it, as long as just one person each game wants sg3 (and sg3 is on voting for every game) that's as you said, a 5% chance. If you played 20 games in a row under these conditions, chances are you would only have one game where sg3 wins, and it's entirely possible you would play all 20 without it winning even once. With that in mind, I don't really see much need in the "over five votes" adjustment. Barring an extremely lucky dice roll, that 5% map isn't gonna get played unless a chunk of the server wants it. If a chunk of the server wants it, then my analogy above applies.
