I played on this map during Chad's live stream, so I got to take a look at most of it. Here is an unofficial review:
Terraforming:
The terraforming (despite not being relevant to the actual focus of the map) is smoothed to the point that it looks like world painter was used. Even though it is not relevant to the focus of the map, it is still bothering me. xD
Logic:
The reason I put a 'logic' category here is because I am not sure how the floating village is floating. I heard something about magical wood.... xD Ummm, but really, how is the whole thing floating? Also, the big steampunk styled ship that corn is on is also illogical. For it to be floating it would have to have sails, engines, etc... I just feel like things weren't thought out when building this. It obviously looks very good as far as detail, etc goes, but as far as making sense, I do not see it.
Gameplay:
I want to preface this section by saying that this is my opinion and not something that I actually find wrong with the map. However, when playing in the live stream I got the 'Lobby Games' effect. If anyone knows me, they know I am not a fan of Lobby Games, but that is going off topic. It was cramped and "scary" (fear of falling off xD) like Lobby Games which, in my opinion, doesn't make good pvp. However, this opinion depends on what the person searches for in a map. I personally don't like this.
Lastly, (don't hate this, it is, again, my opinion) this feels like the kind of map that would not be added to the servers if it wasn't made by Red Forest. (I assume its being added since Chad live streamed it.) If it was made by a random person and not Red Forest, I don't see it being added. Once again, this is my opinion and I am entitled to my opinion, but this is my overview of the map.
You guys deserve to hear good things too, however. So, I really like the idea, the detail, and chest locations. (There were plenty of chests when I played in it.)
Overall Score: 7/10
