Depends. I used to absolutely despise anyone who did it, but it can be useful. You can use it in an enclosed area to almost totally guarantee a victory, and if used properly, as long as you outgear your opponent, they literally cannot defeat you, regardless of PvP skill (of course, you have to have a level of skill in using block-hitting)

However, I never said I used block-hit. Blocking is also used to deflect arrows, which I make a point of doing.
I use fishing rods to disorient the opponent, and soften them up with arrows. My Minecraft PvP style can be compared to a weapon-switching Pyro in Team Fortress 2.

I do some of those things like soften people with arrows but I prefere dodging over blocking and I don't use fishing rods on land. I don't see how they make a difference. When people try to do that to me, I just dodge it and kill them.

Well, I prefer dodging when I'm fighting someone who is better geared than me.
If you've dodged someone's on-land fishing rod to kill them, it's likely you haven't fought me.

Fishing roods could also be affected by that spectator thingi, at least there is nothing in NC+ that modifies fishing roods in any way. So I doubt this issue comes from NC+.

Does this "NCP glitch" also happen if you don't spam right and left mouse click together? It could cause some issues with NC+ if you block and hit at the same time.
