just saying all 24 maps have 30 tier 2s i checked yesterday just pointing out this is the SURVIVAL games your not ment to be handed items that is what kit pvp as for the maps with "bad tiering" are actually the ones tiered correctly for the game which is the SURVIVAL games it is ment to hard to get things that is the point
I'm not sure if you meant exactly 30 tier 2's, but I know that Holiday Resort and Valleyside University have more than 30 - I believe 35 and 36..? DoUEvenShift made a Tier 2 guide on Holiday Resort, which showcases 35 Tier 2's: http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/holiday-resort-master-chest-route-35-tier-2s.67488/
Also, there was a rumor spreading around (More like someone just found out and told others) that there were something around 12 tier 2's on Breeze Island 1, which is indeed a 24 player map.

Also, a lot of people have been saying that it's too easy to get over-powered items. Yes, you often to have to fight for them, but once that's over you basically slaughter other people until the game is over.

If I recall correctly, VIPs have the ability to see how many chests, tier 1's, and tier 2's are in certain maps? The above information was supposedly from a VIP, although I'm not sure which.

This is based off of my memory, so the numbers might not be exact except for Holiday Resort.

i think there should be more risk involved with getting more tier twos with the parcore, for example having them so high up that if you fall you will die, and that redstone puzzles should have more thought put into them to make it more difficult and more dangerous to get the tier twos they conceal. Like someone else said a lot of tier twos are handed to you on a plate and are sitting in plain sight but i feel like they should be earned instead

In my opinion, some maps should be re-tiered, some are fine. For those that need to be re-tiered, it's usually not a matter of how many tier twos, it's a matter of where the tier twos are.
I've been extremely tired as of recently so I won't give too much input unless needed.

If that Breeze Island bit is true... That's kinda sucky. Because 8 tier 2s should be at corn, which means there are only 4 others around the whole map... Especially because some of the tier 2s I used to know on that map don't even fill with anything anymore. Like a completely empty chest every game. Even after refill.

In my opinion, switching out overplayed maps will cause a lot of hate. The reason they are overplayed is because people LOVE the maps. If you force someone to something they don't like, and take away something they do like, of course hate will come. As to tiering, this has changed my perspective on the subject, thanks!

P.S. The tiering on Holiday Resort is perfect. 2 tier 2s in all directions (except towards the water park), even if it's not a lot of tier 2s, it's still spread out.

Personally I don't like the tier system whatsoever. Places way too much emphasis on memorizing chest routes, and the discrepancy in gear levels between your starting kit and somehow who memorized the locations of overpowered chain of tier 2s is much too large. It's an artificial mechanic that really doesn't make sense for the "survival games."

Since a complete overhaul of the system is unlikely, I like the idea of consulting map makers for map tiering.

yeah i would say just change the tiering on some of the popular maps as they really aren't all currently tiered correctly. It would be interesting to see if they would still be popular if those maps were re-tiered too
