It doesn't have anything to do with texture packs. Turn off Connected Textures in your optifine settings and it'll fix.

I personally use Antvenoms Texture pack, its my favorite. Its based off faithful with just some minor tweaks.

My minecraft used to crash every 5 games or so, regardless of map. This happened when I got a new laptop but I didn't change anything and it just eventually stopped crashing.

From experience with this, it is your texture pack that you are using. Just switch to default when you know those maps are gonna be voted.

Turn off connected textures while using that texture pack. It should work.

As several people have said, if this happens to you simply turn off connected textures. You can do this by going to Options > Video Settings > Quality then finally setting connected textures to off. This should fix the issue. Alternatively if you want to continue using connected textures for whatever reason, you can simply use a different texture pack.
