Monsters in classic?

I've seen in a couple posts and some rumors that monsters will be added to classic. Can someone verify if this is true or not?

They said the would add hostile mobs back when classic was first added or something, but it has been almost a year and there still are no monsters. Unless they confirm it for sure, don't look forward to it.

I don't think there will be any implemented anytime soon, all you have to do is wait and see I guess.

It would be cool in my opinion.
