Exactly. I got banned for 1 hour for advertising back on one of my first days of MCSG. Now that I'm turning 14 this summer I want to apply for mod. I know what I did was stupid and wrong.

Maybe they could add something like if you have been ban free for 6 months you can apply.

If they've learnt their lesson and will make a good mod, then why not make them a mod? If they end up being a bad mod, their position can be taken away from them. 6 months is a long time for someone to reflect on something and I doubt they will begin hacking again after any lengthy ban.

IMHO Minimum mod age should be 17 or 18. Fourteen is WAY to young. 14 year olds either take their job way too seriously and are un-sympathetic, or will abuse their power.

Not true. I think if you are mature enough to handle being a mod, you deserve a shot at it. 14 is a reasonable age. Also, there are several very good mods younger than 17.

Gee, there's no stereotypical prejudice here.

If the limit was at around 17/18, we would have less than half the staff members we have now. Just consider that for a minute, and think about how these servers would not have survived. At all.

Now, look at the younger staff members; how many of them are actually immature and do a bad job? If you're going to make comments like this, at least have evidence to back up your claim.
