Well fortunately for me I am neither under 15 nor in a clan, so hopefully I will be accepted. :p

They're not accepting anybody under 15 right now.

darkai202 I WENT THROUGH THIS EXACT SITUATION MANY TIMES. I initially applied for MCSG mod in December and when I was declined because of my age I pursued it like hell. I wrote a long a** application(Not Tironas length) but still pretty long. No matter how hard I pushed how many Sr. Mod and Admins I came to with pre-prepared speeches about how age does not equal maturity, I was declined. In the process they were all very helpful and kind and understood why I might be frustrated. But still they would not budge, I even wrote an email to Chad which he replied to, but that never worked out.... It was a long and frusturating journey that did not end well. I would hope that they set the age limit lower, because I think that age limit is really based on prejudice. Although I understand their need to be careful I think they don't need a 15+ age limit. Recently I did achieve a large victory of mine which was to become a moderator on MCTF2. Anyway what I'm saying is that if you keep fighting. Things will happen for the better.*fingers bleed*

Okay, good to see people agree with me, tbh.

I'm just wondering, if no Sr. Mods/Admins have seen this, or they just don't know how to respond to what I've said. Or they're just tired of these threads.

Also, if anyone's wondering, no. I am not trying out for mod. I prefer helping MCSG in small ways, such as helping people, recording hackers, and making people laugh. c:

The age limit is all about the maturity. Even though people say they are mature, we have run into severe problems with that issue.

The younger the age, the less and less specks of light there are that we could have. Once the age gets below 15, it's very questionable whether the applicant is actually "mature", or just doing a good job at acting it.

I became a staff member on another server I used to play on at the age of 13 - I quickly actually jumped the ranks, until I hit what was pretty much the equivalent of admin... (the highest you could get aside from owner.) I quickly came to realize that pretty much everyone else on staff was 16+. I was by far the youngest staff member...but why was this? (Cue bragging:) I was one of those specks of light that the Owner was lucky to have picked, as many of the other players that age that were later promoted caused...issues. Over time, I see less and less young users picked, because many of them aren't a speck of light - finding another speck like me isn't worth it for all the trouble it will cause. (The server still runs strong today, with 350 slots that are easily filled during peak time for hours if anyone cares...)

But honestly...I may have been mature for a 13 year old...but was I really all that mature overall? I've thought about it actually, and if I go back far enough into my old posts...I was a completely different person. I hate my old self actually. I'm surprised I got as far in the ranks that I did. I don't believe I was nearly as mature. (granted, back then, the server was pretty tiny - it could use all the staff it could get.) So if I was mature for a 13 year old...how mature are most 13 year olds? (No offense to anyone - but as you get older, you'll realize that you might not have been as mature as you thought you were...unless you were truly really mature. I look at the world differently now than I did a few years ago.)

We understand that there can be some really mature young people out there...but we cannot just do trial and error to find them. Even the most well written applications...unless they were done like Tironas style, I don't believe they should be taken as seriously. If we started promoting everyone under 15 for have a fairly decent applications...it'll just be a mess.

I feel like I'm missing something in this post...if it comes to mind I'll edit it.

Yes, if you look at at a post, or even a writing or drawing or something you had made a long while ago, if you'd write/draw something different today compared to it then that's a sign of growing and, maturing.

This is exactly what I meant.

If they're a 'spec of light' they'll have a Tironas style application. This is what the post was trying to get across. Not to let every 'decent' application in. To let amazing applications in.

The age limit is all about the maturity. Even though people say they are mature, we have run into severe problems with that issue.
Agreed, this is why only amazing, super applications should even be considered if they were below the age limit.

Basically, the point I'm trying to get across is;

Make exceptions at this current time, moderators are needed.

I'm 11, I wrote a 4,912 word application for mod then when I saw you had to be 15, I still believed that I could get mod. Since then I never posted it.

Well, not really - If Tironas can make an application that is super impressive compared to mine...I don't think there'll be another one. >.>

Just jumping in here..
An amazing applicant under 15 should be accepted although it should all come down to the interview. Tbh I really don't think some 11 year old will write a 2k application if their heart isn't in MCSG and they just want to corrupt it.. On the other hand, I've seen this from a couple of mods lately and I completely agree with it: If you really care about MCSG then you can wait until your 15. This does show maturity! If you keep nagging everyone to let you be mod because you're really mature but under 15 then chances are, you're not that mature c:

If there is a massive demand in the age limit being changed, then I think the senior mods, admins and Chad would have to do a vote on their opinions. It's a very controversial topic in the way that there are many pros and many cons to the idea.
