I play on a mac. So yeeeeah. But seriously, I don't think they'll add DLC, atleast not THAT much. If they did, people would just make mods that replicate that, and you could get it for freeeeee.

Well, Minecraft was good while it lasted.
The only thing I'm worried about is reading that Microsoft are thinking about copyrighting Minecraft so no-one is allowed to upload videos ;-;

Why does everyone flip out? Nothing even happened yet. If you think Microsoft is going to absolutely ruin Minecraft you're rather foolish. They don't spend $2.5 billion so they can add DLC and remove mods. MC Xbox already has DLC skins and textures and I don't see everyone spazzing. This thread gives me less hope for Minecraft than Microsoft does.

Adding on to that, Mojang has been working closely with Microsoft since 2012, so it isn't like they have no idea what they're doing, especially since they're such a large company. I honestly doubt that Microsoft will screw the game up.

Even if that happens, there's always CS:GO c:

PC Minecraft has a lot of stuff which the versions on mobile and XBox don't have, so I don't understand what you're trying to imply.

Anyways guys, instead of being so pessimistic, why don't you just wait for a little bit more information? Literally all I've seen is DLC EXPANSION PACKS HURR DURR DIS SUX. They're not going to buy a company for $2 billion dollars just to make a short term profit, they're in this for the long run and will want to keep users.
I've heard probably all of the servers will be blocked except Microsoft's ones. I don't really know if it's true, but yeah...

I'm going to give them a chance, but these are things that could happen for the worse:

DLC
No mod API ;c
Pay for online play
Download Bundling (UGH I HATE THOSE)
More focus on XBox, and maybe even discontinue the Playstation version
Stupid additions that would completely change aspects of the game
Aim for profit instead of player satisfaction, I honestly think they will settle for making $2,500,001,000 and call it good because they made a profit off the game and leave it the way it was.

If these changes happen, I think that the minecraft community would still survive. Most servers would stay on 1.8 until the end of time, use bukkit plugins, and wait it out until microsoft figures it out that we're not just a bunch of people that play a game, we are a community, we work together to make the game better, and if microsoft tries to change that, they'll find out the hard way how much power the community has with this game.
