I see Trolls point about MCSG starting to lose its ''Fun Factor'' with hackers and people swearing, but the Mods try their hardest to put a stop to this. I use TS to report hackers and nearly everytime i ask for help, it comes. Im just supporting both sides by saying MCSG is at a neutral level and could fall or rise depending on what happens out inside the community.

Hop on teamspeak and become a member of the community and then try saying this. There is always a mod on to help you out.

The reward is that you know that you are making the community a better place. What else do you want?
Something to make more people do it, the only reason I stopped was becouse I didn't get anything in return.

I keep hearing people saying 'MCSG is dying' and 'There are too many hackers'.

1. MCSG is definately not dying. On the contrary we are still growing bigger and bigger. Just this evening, we reached a record level of players on our servers. The demand for more servers is bigger than ever. Sure, people have left us, but thats normal, that's life. But for every player who has left, 2 more have joined. It's simply immense.

2. There has always been a lot of hackers at MCSG. Lord, you should have seen it back in April last year. it was terrible. The thing is, it's hard to block every type of hack. Pretty much impossible. I don't think i've ever seen or heard of a server who has. So we rely on both mods (of which we need to be reliable, trust worthy and active, hence why we have less numbers right now) and you guys. We understand that not everyone can record, but for those who can, try and record every game, and help us catch the hackers. It really does help. MCSG has always prided itself on relying heavily on it's community. So we continue to do that.

Basically guys please understand that in terms of hackers, we are doing our best. The only reason you see a lot, is because we are a big server. it's to be expected.

Your darling Darlo

There is a problem with that. If you weren't aware, the senior staff is incredibly limited at this point. They are stressed, they have a ton of work, and of course, they all have lives. The mod application process is so strict because, if they hire a mod who isn't up to par, it usually just results in even MORE work for the senior staff, because they have to be the ones to fix the whole mess that could result.

Probably the reason many new staff haven't been hired lately is that the senior mods and admins no longer review the applications. This means that all of the applications are now left to our two community managers - Bicentennial_Man and Col_Star.

Look guys, on every server there are people who hack. On every server there are people who use caps. On every server there are people who swear. That's what we are here for. As KRadium said before, just because we are moderators doesn't mean that all hackers will be gone. With a great amount of players in the community, comes quite a few players that break the rules. Also, guys just because we are member of staff doesn't mean we don;t have school and social lives like any normal human being. My suggestion is to report all the players that are suspicious of hacking or breaking other rules in the Report Abuse section. Not to mention, we are always trying to hire new mods. If you come on teamspeak or message any member of staff over the forums, then we can quickly resolve your problem. It's as simple as that, so please don't complain about how we have players that break the rules, for every community does.

This is the sort of stuff that we need to know. We don't know what's going on. From what I can tell, the devs have been adding more stuff, but forgetting to fix the MCSGv2 bugs.

Well, that happened ~3 days ago, and also, the Devs have been ENTIRELY devoted to bug fixing for the past ages, we haven't had any new features implemented.

Have you not seriously considered all of the precautions that MCSG has already put on the servers to stop things like this? NCP was added... people complained it causes lag/glitches so they have to add less harsh builds on it... which could allow more hacks to work. They have added a swear filter, and obviously you get violators/bypassers of these filters but it's impossible to stop every single offensive word in the English language. Certain words are not filtered, and I am definitely sure that the filters are always being updated as new words are found to not be filtered. Hackers get reported and then banned. There is nothing you can do against hackers as there are people that code their own hack clients to bypass these filters. Don't think there are 'non-hacking' servers as they are just a myth. Stop crying and report all the bypassers on the forum so that the staff can handle it.
