MCSG needs to step up it's Game!

Hey guys,

Troll here and I am telling you all (Yes you) that MCSG needs to step up its game! We all know MCSGv2 was released a few months ago but honestly MCSG is at its worst. The amount of Hackers, Swearing is absolutely ridicules. The amount of Staff leaving and inactive staff and owners *cough* Chad *cough* and the fact that most of the time that MCSG isn't just Fun anymore, as Chad's live-streams were actually interesting and when was the last time Chad did an actual livestream!

The fact that I see no mods on, This one is a big one as I used to see PLENTY! of mods on but I only see about one ONE a week and the amount of hackers their are I don't think that one mod can handle them all!

In conclusion MCSG needs to step up it's game as the community is falling apart and losing more members then gaining them. Soon we are going to be a small community with a few servers and 5 staff!

Edit: I completely agree. "be patient bla bla" is not cutting it anymore. The last time I had fun on Mcsg by myself was December. The closest I've gotten since then was when me, ferno, decsol, and some other people got in a team battle with these swearing kids and we stayed on the same server and kept fighting them. Our team won ever game. It was so fun and it always came down to just our 2 teams.

Mcsg just isn't fun, like you said. I see kids space out their letters just so that we can see the actual swear word. I mean, really? Do you really feel the need to go through that much work to allow us to see you cuss? I think it will be fine and a mod will get them, but I rarely see mods on.

Mcsg is truly at its worse. The enjoyment of playing has gone. They may as well call it the pvp games because that's basically what it is. It's not fun, it's just looking for a weapon then once you have it try to kill people. Then die 99% of the time because of a huge team. Teams are the biggest issue for me. They are getting bigger, and harder to beat. Soon it will be almost impossible to win without another person. I havn't won a game in days because of full iron clad teams. I was playing a game on sg4 and there were only 4 left. I met one of them and started fighting him. He had better stuff, but he started running. He led me to another guy who. Thought would help kill the guy but instead he came for me. Now it was my turn to run.

I ran into town and saw another guy running towards us out of a building. I thought "yes a distraction I can live". But guess what? He is in the team, and I end up dying. Then in DM, one of the guys kills them all unfairly in DM and the two guys said "I hate teaming with that guy". Really? If you hate teaming with him, DON'T! He would have been destroyed if he was by himself.

The games are just a huge, messy, unfair pvp game now. The small maps and huge amounts of teams and hackers have poisened Mcsg to the point of its ultimate downfall.

I only agree on the small maps thing, otherwise i like fighting teams, it makes it more challenging. Really, if you can't deal with teams learn how to, first of all don't let them take refill, if you do think of a plan! Where are you going to get better stuff? How are you going to outsmart them? Set some traps and lure them into them. There's so many ways than just running in like a madman swinging your sword. Use your brain for once, its easy if you think about it. Me personaly if i don't get refill i try and get the game to last as long as possible untill i get the gear and resources to set up a trap and kill the biggest threat, and no, i don't attack other people untill the team is dead.

You do realize Chad has a life out of MCSG, right? And if you go to the staff section there are a whole bunch of staff members. A lot of them have been busy I'm sure, with school coming to a close. And if you see someone swearing or hacking screenshot it or record it! Simple as that.

Do people not realize how irritating it is for us to see threads like this, telling us that we're the only ones that can catch people who break rules?

We cannot be relied on to do all the work. We have social lives, school, work, etc, and there are also times where we don't want to have a hawk-eye on the chat and players.

If you see hackers, or people spamming, swearing, whatever - Get evidence, and report them! For people that break chat rules, just use F2 to take a screenshot, upload it to imgur, and submit it here.

To record hackers, I recommend using Bandicam. On the free version, you get 15 minutes recording time and a barely noticeable watermark. It also automatically renders the videos. If you're really against recording them, just download TeamSpeak3 and hop on the MCSG server at ts.mcsg.in. Poke a mod (somebody with an iron sword icon) with the hacker's name, the server, and what hacks they're using.

Before complaining that we're not doing our jobs and that there's not enough, just remember that we are only human and we just do what we can do. Reports are handled almost instantly, and I myself have not played many games so I can spectate people. Hiring staff is a big problem for the Sr. Staff, as it needs to be ensured that they are mature and can handle the job.

And just a note, MCSG is getting bigger and bigger. That is why new servers are constantly being invested in to handle our ever-growing community.

I agree there is a leak of mods online on the servers, but I still think it is fun. Mods are not the only ones to take care of the servers. Normal members can also tell people to shut it if they're swearing. Like I do. I'm trying my best to warn people that is trolling or swearing telling them that if a Mod see them saying this they might get muted/banned for a while. This doesn't always work, but it is working most of the times. Moderators and staff should be allowed to have a life outside MCSG too, but they should come online once in a while.

I simply do not agree with this thread. MCSG is getting there. Did you see the most recent post from Chad? I know for sure a lot of things are being worked on behind the scenes and all some people do is complain it's taking too long.. Also, you have to remember sub does own cubedhost! It's such a privilege to have him here but he is busy running a successful hosting company.

I'm sorry if this came across as rude, but it really frustrates me that people don't understand.

I realize that the staff can go ban the hackers, but you could record them and send in a report abuse as easily as they could do that.

A lot of people seem to think that just because we lost staff members, just because there's an increase of hackers, that we're dying, that we're "Not going to last a month more."
That isn't true.
We will only die out if we allow ourselves to, and by saying "We're going to fail.", you're not getting us anywhere.
Get out there and record hackers, if you can't do that, patrol the servers and screenshot spammers, Capitol letter abusers, and report them.
YOU can clean up MCSG, it's not entirely the staff members jobs to do that. Yes, I do realize that's what they're employed to do, but they can't be everywhere at once.

Chad being inactive?
Honestly, that's understandable. As a player, I would love to see more activity with the community on his part, but we don't know what else he has going on in his life.
He updates the news feed whenever there is some sort of issue, and replies occasionally to threads.
He's not totally inactive.

Inactive staff?
There really aren't that many inactive staff.
Just because you don't see them online when you log on, doesn't mean they weren't on before.
Everybody has a little something called a life, and sometimes, that can lead to being incredibly busy, and not being on 24/7.
Staff are not payed (except for developers, they might be payed) and they do not need to be online constantly, there is no contract biding them to a certain amount of time online.
Yes, they will be fired if they don't do their job, and a lot of people with hate them for being inactive, but sometimes, there are more important things in LIFE to handle.

Teams ruining the gameplay?
Pardon my French, but what the hell do you want us to do about it?
We could use the "No teams of three or more" like the hive, but then we'd lose a ton of players, and have complaints all over the forums.
Teaming is fun. It's an aspect of the game that will more than likely never be removed.
You need to just deal with it.
You don't need to win every game. If you die to a team, Whoop de do! Join another server!
This is still a PVP game because last time I checked you had to fight other players, including teams.

I'm not a staff member, but I can only imagine how frustrating seeing a thread like this is.
You are basically straight up telling them "You aren't doing your job right."
That's like a punch in the face.
Our current staff members are some if the best we've had in a while. Sure, there might be a lack of staff members, but the incredible quality of staff members we do have, makes up for it.
We don't need 600 staff members, 50 really good staff members does the job a heck of a lot better.


Finally, you just need to understand. You need to understand what's going on, look at it in another Point of View.
MCSG has done a lot to appease the community, but every time, the community just finds something else to nag about.
How about when they switched tier items after a COMMUNITY poll.
I saw tons and tons of threads saying "Eww, the new tiers are horrible. Take them back."
For the love of god, can't you ever be happy?
MCSG is trying, but every time they're just pushed away.
They tried for new staff, lowered the age limit to 14, but the community still isn't pleased.
The put in a swear filter plugin, the community continues to swear, bypassing it, and complain about the filter.
They put in NCP to help bring down hackers, the community hasn't let them live it down since.

Just stop.
Think for a minute and understand how picky, and negative you are.
MCSG is trying!
You need to stop thinking only about yourself and put yourself into MCSG's shoes.
MCSG is going no where, in fact, we're growing.
We will not die anytime soon.

I'm not saying that mcsg isn't trying, and I don't think that the sr. staff is doing a bad job. I just think that you should accept some more mods. Right now it looks like only the best of the best is accepted, accepting some good applications wont hurt.
