Ok I'm actually going to answer the template:
1. List 3 why you think people are leaving MC Gamer.
- They get bored of playing and just lose interest, mcsg is obviously the only thing most people play and I guess it get boring over time
- They get banned and stay banned
- Idk any other reasons, the main one to me is lack of interest
2. How do you think we can fix the overly competitive community?
Well personally I don't think the community is 'over-competitive' xD. I don't see anything wrong with a bit of competition, considering you're playing to win anyway. Life is always going to have competition and people just need to embrace it c: Obviously if someone is taking things out of hand they can just be reported anyway.
3. What gamemodes do you think MCGamer should add/fix/remove ?
In my opinion zed chase should be removed, along with uhc worlds. Even though they are both nice ideas and have had time put into them, it's simply not worth it considering the amount of people who play on them.
I would say add more pvp related gamemodes, as that is was mcgamer needs to become. It's not going to be a popular 'minigame' server like hypixel mineplex or even the hive because the gamemode mcsg is too popular and it's what we all join the servers to play. Ranked and Unranked 1v1s 2v2s 3v3s etc should be added, kit pvp was brought in previously but changed to battle grounds, maybe something with different kits that can be earned or bought?
And now i'm going to contradict myself but just read ok. I think creative should be brought back too. For the people who are here more for the enjoyment of the game and just want to chill and meet people and build. Survival bingo is used for the at the moment but I think creative would actually be fairly popular if it were to be brought back (plus i loved it and i miss it a lot :c)
4. Any other suggestions?
-Pls stop removing/locking threads that actually have interesting discussions, and give the reason 'locked for flame' or 'locked because it will never happen'. These kind of discussions are the only interesting things left on the forums pretty much (like this thread, I can actually given a proper reply)
-Report abuses should be easier. It takes long enough for someone to upload this video of someone possibly hacking for them to fill in a full on form about the hacker and then to find that their report is declined. It kind of puts you off wanting to try again/ If I could just make a thread with the link to the video and some key information idk, it would just be faster and easier and maybe more people would make reports.
(warning small rant below)
Now I'm going to give my opinion on swearing in public channels, because I have read through some people's opinions and would like to give my reasoning c:
I think that swearing in public channels should be allowed (I doubt this will ever happen but I'm giving reasons please don't just disregard this.) I have spoken to mods who have told me that they want to try and meet new people and talk to the community on ts, but they can't because when they go down to a public channel (to talk to new ppl) they constantly have to tell people to stop swearing.
This creates the problem of the bridge between staff and community members. Mods shouldn't be seen as 'above' everyone else, in reality they are just trusted community members who can punish players. Mods can swear in mod chats if everyone is ok with it right? So why can't people swear in public chats in every is ok with it? There will still be abuse in public channels, that mods already deal with, but the occasional swear word thrown into a sentence on the offhand... is that really a problem when mods could be banning hackers and abusers??
What annoys me even more is the mods saying 'light swearing' is used in mod chats. I mean I haven't really been in mod channels very much at all and I've definitely heard my fair share of swearing lol
(also personally idk at all if someone is swearing. If its not directed at anyone why does it matter, it's a sound coming out of someones mouth, why get so offended :^))
AND FINALLY can I just add, thank you for making this thread xD. I can't remember the last time (and this is gonna sound lame) that I actually could type a long detailed reply to a thread and can i just say I enjoyed it a lot ok this is why i joined the forums
