Lobby games lag

All my skype friends run 1.7 and they get the lag, but I run 1.6 and get no lag. I wonder if these are related....

Well, I mean, who even plays 1.6 anymore?

I got that lag when we switched to 1.6 when that lobby was still in use. Whenever I'm on my bad computer I get that lag really bad too.

But I get fps lag on 1.7

no lag on any other map, just on that little small area from the map. thats it.

My frame rate drops from 60 to 40 so I don't notice

For me as well, plus the Solar Frost Deathmatch.

If no one remembers, the original Team Elite lobby was fairly laggy, due to fences, trapdoors, redstone (Lots of it), and other laggy items. Since the lobby is in the map without any tweaking (atleast to my knowledge) the lag has stayed.

I remember that, but it wasn't as laggy as it was. I get around 60 FPS when it was lobby, now I get 10, 20 if I'm lucky.

Odd. Maybe they added a lot of laggy blocks or redstone close by?

I get this time. I get massive lag spikes.

About the lag on lobby games. I get it once I go into the map room. No where else.

I play on 1.6.4 With GLSL Shaders. Not always. But whether I have it on or not I lag a bunch. From 400 FPS (On extreme) to about 40.
