I don't like this idea, it creates a lot of problems. Will my old donorships be able to go towards a lifetime?

The devs get paid, because there is a constant money flow, and they made the game, so they deserve some sort of cut.

Perhaps the result would be completely opposite. Players would donate because they believe the lifetime donor is worth more. More donors= more money for MCSG.
