Is MCSG Dead?

So I haven't played MCSG in a long long time, I tried to play a game here and there, but never liked it. Keep in mind, I was ADDICTED to this server. Some of you may remember me, I played this game so much, I loved it, made friends through it, etc.
Somewhere along the line school came first and I just stopped playing MCSG, I don't think I actually left because I was sick of it. (This was probably like a year+ ago)
Over this winter break I was like, hey... I should play a couple games of MCSG.

I go on and see the following: Extremely confusing hub, I have no idea where anything is, and didn't they just remodel it??
- MCSG Now has only like 50 servers?? (I don't know how many) But what happened to like the 200+ server thing before it where every game was filled? Has MCSG died in popularity that much? Kinda makes me feel sad as it got so popular.
- The teaming issue still hasn't been solved, I immediately tried to play, but EVERY game was faced with teams. My pvp isn't good anymore and it just made the game 100% not fun to the point of me not wanting to play

Before I get responses saying "suck it up" or "teaming is part of the game", remember that while those responses may be valid in your mind, they are only sound to a niche group of players on this server. I think MCSG's biggest issue is in by accepting and ONLY listening to this niche group, they exclude the majority and a larger group of other players. This is probably why a lot of people have left and gone to ie. Mineplex, or Kastia.

So my questions, is it just me or has MCSG truly died?
(Saying that people still play it doesn't answer my question, I'm referring to the massive decrease in players)

First off, I think it's hilarious that an "old player" started in May 2013. Second, while I do agree that mcsg has died down a bit in popularity it is nowhere near "dead". Thousands of people still enjoy this server every day and look forward to playing on it. I don't know what your definition of dead is, but this certainly does not fit mine...

The decrease in servers are not actually what you think. There servers are constantly rotating every minute so we have many servers than just 50. Check the server numbers! I'm not sure if we actually have this many servers, but they say US 2910 and stuff like that. I don't believe MCSG is dying one bit! I quit MCSG because of school, but we recently merged with the Antvenom Network bringing a surplus of people to our servers!

I think that Developers done a very good work with v2 . And i am pretty sure that there are more than 200 servers right now , not 50 as you said.

And about teams ; i think teams are part of the game , i can't imagine a MCSG without teams , it should be too easy , and it can be boring

It isn't anywhere close to dead. It averages over 3k players.

It's not that we lost servers because we lost popularity, in fact we've grown an incredible amount in the last few months. The reason you don't see so many servers is because they only come to life to meet the needs of player count, to avoid unnecessary and empty servers that just stay awake and lag the network. We have the same amount of servers, just with many more people.
