You said that no Android phones have a fingerprint sensor. Well, the Motorola Atrix is an Android phone with a fingerprint scanner, which was released around 2 years before the iPhone 5S.
My point is that fingerprint scanners are not as secure as pins. If someone really wanted to take your phone from you, all they have to do is knock you out and put your finger over the home button, while with a 4-digit pin, there are over 10,000 possible combinations and if the thief messes up enough times, the phone becomes disables for some time. Additionally, the sensor won't work with wet or lotioned hands or with gloves, during the winter. Sure the finger print scanner will make you feel like James Bond for a while
, but it's not that practical.
