Jitterclicking is dodgy, in my opinion. It works well if you can master it, but it's a double-edged sword because if you keep it up, you can end up doing some damage to your hand (Carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis). I used to be able to click insanely fast but I stopped because I found that I could click normally, but just faster, and still reap the rewards of fast clicking.

My tip would be to stay away from this jitterclicking business, and just practise normal clicking. It might seem slow to begin with, but you've just got to practise and you'll get faster. Try playing Kit-PvP gamemodes like Battlegrounds or something like Cookie Clicker (that game's pretty old now, but it worked for me) and you'll find that your speed will get quicker. Once you reach a speed of about 10-11 clicks per second, anything over that won't be noticeable.

The one prerequisite that I've found is that you need to have a gaming mouse/good quality mouse. A $5 mouse from your local supermarket won't cut it, unfortunately. They usually have lighter click switches- a mouse that I recommend if you're only looking for the ability to click fast is the Razer DeathAdder (also one of the most overrated mouses). If you're going for something which covers all bases well at an affordable price, go for a Steelseries Rival- they're about 1000x better than the DeathAdder in most areas and IIRC even cheaper. Only thing I found different was the click switch for the DeathAdder was lighter (I own/used a DeathAdder, but my friend has a Rival).
This is all you need to know powdski

You can only hit the player right after the "red phase" which is when is skin flashes, therefore clicking fast cannot influence pvp. You still have to be able to click relatively fast, but jitter clicking is like useless. It mostly about timing and stratagies

nope, if you click faster you can get first hits more often up to a point (20cps)

This is true, but it doesn't make an incredibly drastic difference. Given it does help, clicking speed is not a determining factor in a fight
