How do I uplad a map?

I have nearly finished a map in a singleplayer world and I want to know how I should upload it.. Do I just share it on medafire or something and post a link to it ??

Anyways there is a start button on the bottom left corner of your screen. Click on that. Next, see that little box that says Search programs and files ? Click on that. Once you do, type in %appdata% Once you do that, click on the Roaming file that pops up, then click .minecraft. Once you are there, click on the "saves" file that has all your worlds. Upload one of those files to Mediafire or some other file storage system. You can turn the folder to a .zip folder if you wanted to to compress the data.

If I am correct, I believe you plan to upload your map to the MCSG forums. To do this, you have to do many things.

#1 Display and description for the map.
I suggest you take screenshots and create a story about the map to make it interesting. For the screenshots, you should use shaders, and try to make your map look as nice as possible. You can find a tutorial on how to install shaders here:

After installing shaders, open your map in single player and try to take the most magnetic and high quality pictures for your forum post. If you are unaware, the default key for taking pictures is f2, and fn+f2 on Mac.

#2 Taking your map and screenshots and uploading it.
The next thing you are going to wanna do is upload the maps and whatnot on to the forums. You cannot directly upload to the map to the forums, so you will have to upload the map to a downloadable site. I personally suggest media fire. You should link the map to the bottom of the page under Download Link: (map download link here). Before that, you should have a description of the map and a story and then pictures with a short description of what the picture is of. You will need to extract the files from the minecraft folder.
