I know everyone hates hackers, but they can't just do this easily, they have to record the hacker, then ban them, it's not easy. There could be more than 500 hackers on the server right now, but I don't mind hackers at all, I just laugh and say "you're trash" and do /hub

I really hate threads like these, first off we ban plenty of hackers and abusers all of the time (1368 in the past 24 hours to be exact). All people do is complain that the mods don't do enough and honestly its really annoying, we have lives just like the rest of you, I don't want to spend my whole day banning people and I doubt you do either. Secondly, unless you are constantly making report abuse threads and helping to keep the servers clean constantly, then you have absolutely no place to talk, all of the mods work very hard and get very little thanks for the community, and I personally could not care less about what the community thinks we should do. The staff are always working hard and the devs are coming up with ways to more effectively catch hackers. But don't talk about things you don't know about. I would like to add that since i began to write this message 4 more bans have been added and all 4 of them are hacker bans. "nuff said" The server will never be hacker free with out the community's help, so instead of making threads like this go and catch / report hackers, way more productive.

It's funny how you're raging about people talking about mods doing nothing. I never mentioned a word about moderators and I've said numerous times in the past that I know that it's hard and many mods spend a lot of time banning them. I report hackers every now and then and yes I do have the right to complain. As a player, and donator of the server I'd like to see less hackers. Don't tell me what I can and can't do, freedom of speech.

My thread is here to explain that there's a huge hacker problem currently, and even moderators have admitted that and MCSG are thinking about resetting the leaderboards. Even though I completely disagree with that idea, if it was to happen I wouldn't want it to be now when it's completely full of hackers.

So, before you decide to rage and get defensive on me, read the thread first. Also, don't tell me my rights, I have every right to complain about hackers whether I'm reporting them or not.

Im not raging, the thread is obviously targeted at the staff and it honestly is completely pointless. You have not made some scientific break through by diagnosing mcsg has a hacker problem. We understand, and were working on it. I said i hated the thread because it help no one or benefits the server in anyway. We asked the community what they though about the idea of a leader board reset were not completely ignoring hackers now. The fact is unless you are a mod you really don't know what your talking about when it comes to hackers, like i mentioned before, it does not take a rocket scientist to diagnose a hacker problem, but this thread nor another thread complaining will change anything. The quotes Damien // Teepwn put down are right on, complaining fixes nothing. I am not telling you your rights, I'm just saying that you should not talk about things that you really don't know about. Seeing a hacker on a server does not make you a hacker expert.

Flipping a switch won't work either, because sadly, there is no magical on/off switch for hackers.
Anti-cheat systems? Obviously we're working on that, but as some of you have been able to tell lately, it's not exactly the easiest thing to balance between banning hackers and not banning legitimate players.

Not just the anti cheat that's banning legit players :/

Here's an idea, my friend. Instead of making threads that will do nothing besides complain about hackers and annoy people or get them angry at staff, which is going to do nothing if you actually want a problem solved. We are working on making the most advanced anti-cheat program in basically all of Minecraft, but we can't just simply flip a switch and make all hackers go away as @forairan said.

We try our hardest to get rid of all the hackers, but remember that this is a problem on every major Minecraft server and it's uncontrollable especially on a game that allows third party modification.

Seeing as there are too many threads about hackers and the fact that apparently the staff does nothing to stop hackers (*cough* Operation Cleansweep *cough*), this will be locked because it is repetitive. I'm sorry to hear that this is impacting your time here, it really is a problem and it's such an annoying thing to run into a hacker, trust me I know. Have a nice day
