So i want to build a computer for minecraft shaders 60+fps. I have recently bought a new processor, which i think is a power house and i need to know what graphics card to get. I have a budget for a graphics card from 200- 3oo usd. Computer parts below

Processor- amd fx 8320
Memory- 8 GB, might upgrade to 16
Motherboard- Asus M5 A97R2.0
graphics card- This is what i need help on deciding

I'm not 100% sure as i don't own one myself
However the most important parts for minecraft are the CPU and the RAM, I know someone who has a GTX 660 and records at 60+ FPS with shaders and around 120 FPS without. So as long as your CPU is good and you have plenty of ram you should be fine with either of those cards.
If you are wanting to play other high end games for a long time into the future and you have a bit of extra money, i would definitely recommend getting the 770 or even a 780.

This is not true, your GPU is definitaly the most important for what amount of FPS you get.

That is true with most games, with minecraft, while the graphics card does make a difference, i have noticed that upgrading the CPU makes a much bigger leap in FPS. However for other games the video card is definitely where you want to spend your money. Don't get me wrong, the graphics card is important, but based off personal experience, i would say it is not as important as the processor.

GPU is always the main part of your performance in FPS for gaming. The only time your processor makes a different is when you are using a very good graphic card but you don't have a good enough of a processor to keep up with it. Keep in mind that almost everything in a game is being processed through the GPU, not the CPU.

Edit : Except for chunk loading, that's processed by the CPU, but that shouldn't hurt your FPS.

Well I was gonna say get a 980 or 970 till I saw your price range, you can get a 970 for about 350 though. Anyway I have a 760 and its wonderful I can play most games on max setting and if your just going to be playing minecraft the 760 should get the job done

Definitaly, I would personally go for an Intel though, but that's just a personal prefference
