Did you have the decision on what computer to buy?
I never really played computer games mostly stuff like COD etc, so i got the mac because i only needed a computer for learning purposes like , Word, Exel, Powerpoint, and mac's have the built in computer which is made so macs can never get viruses. Later after a 5 months i heard of mine craft so i guess not really.

Im not much of a computer person for other games so I'm kinda of a new but my buddy has an alienware 3 monitor placement thing, which in all honesty is fun to play on. When i got to his house its fun to actually play on good computer. We played mine craft LAN and it was some of the most fun i had in a while.
Well, that's your opinion.
Double post. And actually, it's not - it's the opinion of several other computer-builders who actually know what they're talking about, I've never built a computer or had anything remotely close to a gaming computer. I'm just lucky enough to have a working computer that actually gets decent FPS.

Thanks for the help man, and since I have a monitor already, it would cost roughly 1000$. Sorry I called your computer a crap box :(
xD No problem, a lot of people these days over-estimate the cost of a great computer. :c

Glad I could help! :D

Ok, after some thinking, I came up with this based off of Captain's setup.

INTEL SETUP:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3750K Ivy Bridge 3.4 GHz LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core ($224.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan ($42.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 SATA 6Gb/s ATX ($104.99 @ Newegg)
GPU: PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB CrossFireX Support ($159.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB DDR3 1600 ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($66.24 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($17.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-Bit OEM ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Monitor: Acer Black 23" 5ms HDMI Widescreen Monitor 250 ($159.99 @ Newegg)
Start8: $5

Total: $1127.13

FPS: 400 Average
Settings: Extreme, Max.
Game: Minecraft

Things that can be taken out:
Monitor - Already have one. - 159.99
Case - Already have one - 99.99

Original Price: 1127.13
Possible Lowered Price: 867.15

This is assuming that you still have your old computer. What you can do is take out your old parts that don't work, and switch in your new ones. If you don't need a new monitor right away, you can keep the old one. Also, the case.
(Although you might need either or both of those, idk. Credits for this setup go to Captain.)

When I get enough money I might actually buy and use this setup. Thanks for the build Captain! Now all I have to do is find somebody who can build me a computer. :p

Honestly, I'm thinking similar thoughts ;) That sounds like an amazingly cheap setup for what you get.
Also, I have an extra copy of Windows 7, which I've been using for several years, so I could in fact take off an extra $99.99 to make it 767.16  plus selling some parts of my two old computers.... woah, that's pretty much like a $500 uber computer o.o

But that's getting a bit off topic, as this thread is for helping Illumina.

My dad didn't want me to build one, so I bought an HP Envy Phoenix 810.

The computer itself is awesome, it's liquid cooled and the rest is completely customizable. The starting price is $1000 and you can make it all the way up to like $6000. Mine was about $1500, and it was great. Although the graphics card was the worst one offered (my dad picked the parts ._.) i still ran a constant 200fps on max settings and sometimes got up to 800.

I then recommended the computer to Jess, and he got it for Christmas. I think he got a better graphics card and got around 1500 fps, from what he told me.

So in the end, I highly recommend this option if ya don't wanna build it.

If only he hadn't taken it away XDD i'll be in the market for a new computer soon too...
