My friend once got banned off a server for standard trolling. The reason wasnt the funny part, it was the amount of time. He got banned for 2 years and while I was still on the server, the Owner was saying "Maybe that was too harsh, I should have done a couple of months instead" XD

Well, I've never been banned from a Minecraft server, but I was banned from a Battlefield 3 server for shooting down the admin's chopper with an unguided RPG

I've never really been banned on any other server, I think. I've said a username on MCSG when it had rude words in, obviously it blocked a few words out.

Lol I got banned because I kept telling the admin I was "owner" and I got my privileges taken away because I was at my friends house and I didn't have the console. Then I broke all the rules on the rule board, except for obviously hacks, I don't hack.

I was once banned for telling the owner of a server he has love for the co owner. My ban said "Blitz + Inappropriate body part on a male. = True Love"...
