I can kill a team, and I barely have 45 wins.

1. If they end up splitting up to find people, then is the time to fight.
2. FnS is your best friend.
3. Bows and arrows are your second best friends.
4. If they chase you, lead them to traps, lava, lava parkour etc.

Also, you've played under 40 games. I've played almost 1.6k games and I still haven't gotten the hang of this game xD You'll get good at it with time!

To add to the discussion, I would say that a good way to fight teams is to lower their expectations of you. Say somethings stupid with a few grammar errors. They will think you are some 9-year old when you are actually a skilled 14-year old. If you have a lot of armor, instead of choosing to wear full iron, try wearing a gold helmet, gold chestplate, iron leggings, and leather boots. You still get 6.5 armor bars but you look far less intimidating. When you get into a fight, do something stupid to show that you have no PvP skill, such as slowly walk backwards with fns in hand, and miss entirely when you place it.
They may begin to think you are less of a threat, and maybe one or two will stop chasing you. You can then go somewhere safe, such as the fire station on SG 4 or the whole in the ground in tunnel 3 on Moonbase, where no matter how many people come after you, you cannot be hurt. (On SG 4 you can knock them off the fire station, on Moonbase in the 3 tunnel you can go down a 1x1 hole with a ladder so you always have the depth advantage. If they are annoyed with you and think you are stupid, they will continue going for you even if the odds are against them. When they least expect it, you can unleash the best of your PvP skills all in a flurry and perhaps kill one or two of them. If that does not finish them off, you are probably in trouble, because they are now aware of your skills. Oh well, you did your best. MCSG can be a psychological war as much as a PvP war.

If you want to learn how to play better solo, watch either of the following two channels (they're basically twins):

I'd like to add to this since I don't like the credit only being given to big youtubers, you should check out people like Huahwi, Blamph, (although he doesn't upload, he helped me a lot with his older videos), maybe even myself, I record a lot of solo. There are so many underrated MCSG youtubers that don't get the credit that they deserve (not including me, I am not active enough, I just think some of my videos may help you).

It's weird, when I was still kinda nub, I used to be scared of playing solo, because I found it so scary and lost every time. Now that I have gained experience, I try to stay away from playing solo because it is just so easy (being as little arrogant as possible). I prefer to team because it is more fun. You get to a point where you can win games without focusing too hard, once you get a bit better, the teams in deathmatch will seem pretty trash, unless they are a team of good pvpers, but most of them are teaming because they can't win solo. So don't worry about it, the best way to never worry about the teams in deathmatch is to practice a lot solo.

This may have appeared very arrogant, this was not the intention.

It's not impossible. You just need to practice more. Start with your attitude. Wow I sound like one of those ninja/kung-fu sensei in the movies.
