Why was I banned for changing gamma then?

Gamma is a bit different then FOV...

And Quake is yucky, normal or 75 for me.

I don't Know. Before I Changed My FOV I Said to creepy am i allowed to edit my options to make my FOV more than quake Pro and he said yes. I believe that you can't change your gamma because it give you can advantage ingame. Where as increasing your FOV does not.

I used normal for the longest time, but ever since I switched to quake pro, I can't go back. Everything is too bunched up and zoomed in, I can't play with normal.

I play on 95, its a good compromise between normal and Quake.

Why was I banned for changing gamma then?

This is because changing gamma can basically be fullbright, which lets you see everything easier, whereas a player that didn't edit it wouldn't be able to see as well in dark areas.

I keep mine on normal, I feel like the further FOV's can distort sense of space so I find it harder to hit people, I play with a higher mouse sensitivity though

I use 85 FOV, and 115% Sensitivity.
