I don't see why removing clan threads is any sort of issue at all. Just to start, it really isn't doing anything to the clan community at all. Not many people find clans they want to join by scrolling through the New Posts section of the forums, they go to the Clans and Teams section. Clans being removed from the New Posts section isn't going to harm the clan community either, which is what I feel a lot of people think. As mentioned above, not many people actually find their preferred clans through New Posts, so nothing would be done to the community.
Also, clans not being in New Posts will just make the clan threads a few more clicks away, which isn't too hard to do. Now, maybe some people might say "Well, getting to non-clan threads is also just a few more clicks away". To that, I remind you that the non clan-related threads in the New Posts section are spread across different forums such as the Community Corner, Featured Suggestions, Forum Games, etc., where the clan threads are all in one general area under the Clans and Team forum.
Now that I have explained why removing the clan threads from the New Post section won't hurt the clan community, I want to explain why I think it would be beneficial to the less clan-oriented forumers.
So, finding threads that the non-clan forumers could actually reply to have been a challenge since clans have become the norm on MCGamer. I believe that this is the solution to it, as I have mentioned in a thread about a year ago. It will open up the New Posts section a lot and allow room for less known forumers' threads to get bigger so they can become a bit more known and enjoy the forums a bit more.
Now, I do not want this post to seem like I am hating on clans, so please don't assume that. I generally like clans as long as their members are behaving, but I have to get my point across. I want to apologize if anywhere in this post I seemed to be hating on clans, for I am not.
Please excuse the fact that I said "New Posts" like 154352345 times. c:
Wooh, that was a doozy of a post.
