I'd recommend doing what Salared (Kaspervdpol) does, spamming the rod a lot and being a bit of a nuisance, very nice technique though.

Every moment you are not in range to hit someone with your sword, try and pop a rod.

Actually, this can be a very bad strategy. If they manage to turn around and get a few hits off, they would have the edge. This could lead to you losing!

Well clearly it doesn't, because it works for me. I never see myself dying because of a rod, except when I do it really wrong.

Trust me, if you fight people really good like egrodo, this wouldn't work...

Trust me again, if he can beat egrodo, he's the best PvPer ever...
