Instead of filtering the use of the words, I think the better way of handling this is to allow users to block other users or disable chat. Why totally filter something that is slightly annoying and could be shrugged off. This allows users who want to joke around with friends to do so and it gives people the opportunity to disable chat/block the user when it is hurting their feelings.
Another solution for this is allowing users to toggle if they want those words to be filtered. That way we are all happy.

I'm sure myself and many others would be find with the integration of a system such as that. I was looking at older threads, and the community response I was detecting suggested to me that a good portion of players were in favour of making it punishable by ban.

Punishable, by at least a kick or mute, seems to be a popular response at the moment. However, it is definitely necessary these responses are gauged so good decisions can be made. Thanks for writing in.

Yes, I agree the on going comment, noob, rekt and L2P are very hurting towards other players and this makes them feel like their bad, which is not true at all, and on my call that should not be tolerated at all so, I really hope this would be a good idea for rude and disparaging players out there and then maybe this would teach them a lesson and then they would learn from their mistakes.

I believe they shouldn't that the staff shouldn't do anything, It's the Internet No one should be put down because of a low life who sits behind there computer all day, I guess sometimes it gets annoying and that's how the community is I don't think they can go banning/muting everyone if more then 50% of the server say. There shouldn't have to be a rule about this in the first place; the staff had hoped that the community would fix itself. However, I think that at this point, it is becoming abusive.

From a personal standpoint, phrases like this are rather annoying and are a bother to constantly hear. There are many reasons why they haven't been implemented, but those reasons aren't set in stone. Things are subject to change, as we saw from the new addition to the hacking rule.

Do I see some sort of filter like this in our future? Possibly. It depends on how much support it gets from the staff, and in turn how well and organized it can be brought up to the administration. I can come up with some simple fixes to the main reasons why we haven't done it already (given that they work).

The best thing I can say at the moment is just to not let it get to you, and remember that things like "gg" aren't meant to be put in a negative way, so don't take them that way :3
